Over the weekend, conservative courts once again attacked access to mifepristone. The ruling came from the Fifth Circuit Court, the religious right’s favorite one-stop-shop for ultra conservative rulings. They don’t call it “forum shopping” for nothing.
(NOTE: As of the time of this writing, the Supreme Court issued a temporary stay on the decision.)
While this plays out in the courts, we decided to talk to an expert on the issue. Nikki Sapiro Vinckier is something anti-abortion activists on the right are decidedly not: A licensed healthcare practitioner.
She’s also a women’s healthcare and reproductive rights advocate, an author, and an interpreter of sorts: Nikki’s helps break down the actual science research findings (and how those impact women) so people have the right information in a way they’ll actually understand.
